To make Auxiliary data available to the CloudSat algorithm developers, we implemented an application that creates "auxiliary" data files. Each auxiliary data file (identified with a "-AUX) contains data from another sensor that is matched (as closely as possible) in space and time with each CloudSat data point. A software application, called the Generic Auxiliary Data Processor, operates on a wide variety of data formats to produce the "-AUX" data files.
